Have you traveled somewhere and now you long to return? In this class we’ll take you back through the power of writing. We’ll talk about the big question: Why write your travel memoir? We’ll also cover how to bring people and places to life for the page, focusing your story with action, and finding the meaning of your travels. We’ll do memoir-writing exercises in class and work on three memoir essays outside of the classroom. Students will share stories for group feedback. Whether you drove across country with your family, motorcycled through South America, cared for orphans in Asia, cruised the Mediterranean, or returned to your hometown – you created memories worth writing down.
Who should attend? Travelers and travel dreamers
